The Port of Dover is one of the world's busiest maritime passenger ports, with over 11 million passengers and 2.6 million lorries passing through it every year. Formed by royal charter in 1606 the Port is now entering a period of monumental digital transformation.

As fundamental part of this change the port required a complete overhaul of their website to better support the several hundred thousand visitors that the platform receives each year.

Putting people first

The first stage of the project was to run a series of workshops to thoroughly understand the needs of all key stakeholders and the internal colleagues, customers and partners they serve. Very little from the original website was of value and almost everything had to be created from scratch.

The Port of Dover team were excellent in supporting with the copy writing challenge. It was a great team effort getting all of the information that was required to populate the website.
